About

I received my M.E. and Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from Osaka University in 2005 and 2008, respectively. I was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, and a research fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from April 2007 to March 2009. I became a specially appointed assistant professor at Osaka University in 2009, an assistant professor in 2013, and have been an associate professor since 2021.

I am a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, ACM, IEICE, and IPSJ.

My primary research interests are mobile sensing and computing, context recognition, and healthcare.
